How do I know I am not overdoing with the exercise since that can be bad thing during pregnancy?

Pregnancy makes you more tired than you usually are. But not that tired that you have problems coping with your daily chores or routine. Tiredness can be due to other factors besides exercising too much such as insufficient rest, dehydration, or too many hours at work. Eating enough is of prime importance as your body will need the extra calories to support two and if you are working out then energy depletion should be taken into account. Having factored your diet and rest in, there are ways to ascertain you are not doing too much of workout.

• How you feel after a workout - the fatigue level is important.
• Engage in the talk test while you are on the treadmill for example i.e. push yourself to the point where you are still able to converse despite a raised heart rate
• Monitoring your heart rate is another way.
