Basically, relaxin is very much a pregnancy hormone that affects the joints causing pregnant ladies to become unstable in their movements. Apart from that the weight gain and shift in the center of gravity also contribute to joint problems. Due to this you should avoid exercising beyond your limit or what is considered the normal range of movement. Do not overstretch having found more flexibility (thanks to the hormone). When exercising, make stable positions and even grounds a priority. Avoid exercises that cause you to overuse one side of your body more than the other and also avoid the types that cause you to stand for prolonged periods of time. Remembering these three issues help: balance, your back and your baby and tailoring your activity around these will make exercising more fruitful.
