How
common are allergic reactions?
Allergic reactions are fairly common now because there
is so much of write ups on this issue. Plus, as parents
we are now better at detecting these reactions. The
golden rule is to avoid certain foods during the weaning
stage, and these include cow's milk, eggs, soya and
tree nuts, gluten-rich foods especially wheat, shellfish,
citrus fruits, chocolates and tomatoes and food additives.
Prepare and introduce new foods, single ingredient on
its own for 2-3 days at a stretch. Check for any reactions
and likes and dislikes of your baby before moving on
to the next food.
