Can I prevent stretch mark from developing in my pregnancy?

Stretch mark is hereditary in nature, and that in short means it is not preventable. It occurs when your skin becomes overstretched and that tends to happen with weight gain. During pregnancy we tend to put on weight and with that our skin stretches especially in the breast, thighs, hips and chiefly the abdominal region. Stretched dry skin is even more prone to developing striae. There isn't much you can do to prevent striae from appearing but perhaps the following may help. Since weight gain is natural during pregnancy (refrain from dieting), gain but gain it moderately through a sensible diet plan with proper exercise. It is important to wear garments that lend good support for the breasts and abdomen during the pregnancy months. Especially after showers, once a day, massage your body with a good moisturizing body cream. But do note that no creams can prevent stretch marks, never mind the tall claims.
