I notice some loose growth of skin recently, what are these?

These fleshy outgrowths commonly grow in skin folds of the neck, underarm, groin region and just below the breasts, and can be annoying. Also known as papillomas but in the common language it is referred to as skin tags, these fleshy growths are harmless, painless but not from the beauty angle. They usually disappear after your baby arrives but those that linger on will need to be surgically removed. Skin chaffing contributes to its growth. The sad thing is skin tags mostly do not go away on their own but need to be removed by a dermatologist and they tend to recur. In the meantime keep the areas where you have these growths dry by wearing loose, suitable clothing. When you do get skin tags removed, after giving birth, arrange to remove them at the base by an expert to prevent regrowth.
