Apple and Mango pudding

Babies should be encouraged to eat plenty of fruits and not just rely on commercial fruit juices for their vitamin C supply. This yummy pudding is high in Vitamin C and makes a perfect combination for a first pudding.

1 ripe apple 1 ripe mango 300ml cool boiled water 2 tbsp baby rice or any other suitable cereal

1. After peeling the apple, chop it fine and place it on a saucepan with enough water covering it. Bring the water to boil and allow to simmer for about 12 minutes or till soft.

2. Peel the mango skin off and remove the seed. Add the softened apple pieces to the mango and puree them together to the desired consistency.

3. Allow to cool, add baby rice to it and serve your baby. You may want to experiment with other fruits to make puddings in the same way.
