Final words about tantrums

Accept your child's temperament. Every child is different and hence reacts differently to situations. If your toddler is very active and high strung and naturally impulsive then long shopping trips for instance is just not going to work out favorably. Look out for situations and patterns that seem to trigger tantrums and avoid them for the time being to save yourself from going insane. Findings show that some 2-3 yr old children who display tendencies including severe tantrums will continue being a problem even as adults.

It is not possible to predict if children will "go off the rails" therefore good parenting skills becomes important, never mind the family-type and social circumstances the child is in. It is imperative for parents to take necessary steps to work out on cutting down on tantrums and other difficult behavior in the early years.
